Akinyele Spelling Challenge 2026

The inaugural Akinyele Spelling Challenge 2026, organized by Ivory Educational Resources, hosted over 50 primary school students in Ibadan. Top performers Olatunji Treasure, Luqman Abdulsalam, and Ejiro Bethel received prizes for their linguistic skills. The competition promoted academic excellence and healthy rivalry among local public and private schools.

Techbase Consultant Services provided logistics, viewing literacy as a foundation for technical and digital skills. This initiative established a platform for grassroots educational development in the local government area. Organizers intend to follow this event with mathematics and science competitions later this year to continue supporting student achievement.

The maiden edition of the Akinyele Spelling Challenge 2026, organized by Ivory Educational Resources under the visionary leadership of Pastor Moore Olatunde, brought together over 50 talented primary school pupils from both public and private schools across the Akinyele Local Government Area. This inaugural academic competition, held at the Funduk Hall in Moniya, Ibadan, provided a prestigious platform for young learners to demonstrate their spelling proficiency and linguistic skills in a high-stakes environment. By gathering students from diverse educational backgrounds, the event successfully fostered a culture of excellence and healthy rivalry, reflecting Pastor Olatunde’s deep-seated dedication to improving educational standards and empowering the next generation of leaders within the local community.

Following a display of exceptional talent and dedication, three remarkable young minds emerged as the competition’s champions:
🥇 Olatunji Treasure — Akingbile Community (awarded the grand prize of ₦100,000)
🥈 Luqman Abdulsalam — Igbo-Oloyin Community (earning a second-place reward of ₦50,000)
🥉 Ejiro Bethel — Sagbe Community (securing the third-place prize of ₦30,000)

Our Founder and CEO, Babatunde Awoyemi, served as the Head of Program and Logistics for the event, where he was responsible for coordinating the full programme rundown. His leadership ensured a seamless flow of activities, beginning with the initial contestant check-in at 7:30 AM and concluding with the final prize presentation and official group photographs. By managing these logistics, he ensured the event met its objectives and professional standards. The proceedings were also widely recognized in the media, receiving coverage from both National Daily News and Online News Hub.
